Robin Redbreast

This fine art pigment ink print on 100% cotton rag archival paper is an original ochre and charcoal painting by Dharshi de Silva. The artwork shows a robin redbreast robin trapped in a snow globe. For Dharshi, the robin acts as an icon to symbolize something and someone who shows another a way to freedom.  Mary Lennox, in 'The Secret Garden' by Frances Hodgson Burnett, Dharshi's most favourite out of the classic novels,  found her heart released from being cold & closed off after she was brave enough to follow a friendly robin redbreast into the secret garden.
