The Guernsey Song

This eco-print painting took a longer route than most other paintings that Dharshi has created for the Inspired by Botany collection. It was twice steamed and dyed in a specially concocted solution of natural dyes to get the unusual colour and markings caused by the botanicals reacting with the surface of the canvas. The particular botanicals used for these paintings are Guernsey, a geranium typically found in Africa but one that grows prolifically in Dharshi’s garden. 
This painting comes ready to hang with a Tasmanian oak floating frame.
