Mother and Child
This is an archival ink print of original ink and watercolour monoprint by Dharsi de Silva. It is the "grown-up" version of a painting that Dharshi did for the Shankar International Children's Art Awards with the same title when she was ten. As a child, the picture that she made was much more realistic. The ten-year-old Dharshi drew a loving mother cuddling her adorable baby in her arm. It would be remiss not to mention that she was influenced by Mother Mary and Baby Jesus pictures that she had observed in the home of her Catholic neighbours at the time. The judges at Shankar obviously must have sensed the love in the picture because, at age 10, even though her skill levels were somewhat elementary, she won a silver medal award for that work. If for any reason you are not satisfied with your purchase of a Haus of Orbs archival ink print, you may return it within thirty days of receipt and receive a free replacement or a full refund of the price of the product.
Please note: shipping charges will not be refunded and return shipment costs are the responsibility of the customer.
If the product is damaged in the process of delivery, please ensure that you contact me immediately with a digital photograph of the print and a photograph of the package & details to dharshi@hausoforbs.com.au and I will take the necessary actions to get it replaced for you asap.
