The Mother series began with the painting Mother, and continues through Life Giver No. 1 and Life Giver No. 2. Each work holds a tree as a life-giver, alive or dead, in fuchsia or white, carrying the same nurturing force shared by Mother Earth and human mothers. The circles, branches, and blossoms across the series mark the events that shape a life and the legacy it leaves behind.
