The moment has arrived – tonight, THE APARTMENT SHOW opens its doors at Richmond. After months of planning and preparation, I'm thrilled to share my latest eco-print collection with the incredible community who have RSVP'd for this intimate experience.

I'm absolutely delighted to share some exciting news – we've already sold our first piece from this collection! "The Wise Birch" has been purchased by a wonderful previous collector who attended our VIP preview evening. There's something magical about a work finding its perfect home before the official opening, and it fills me with such gratitude to know this piece will be cherished.

Speaking of our preview night, what a magical evening it was! We were honoured to be joined by fellow artist and engineer Santosh, who originally hails from India but now calls Melbourne home. The energy of connecting with other creatives and sharing stories over wine and art reminded me exactly why I love these intimate gatherings. The conversations that flow when art meets genuine human connection – it's pure magic.

The Performance Art Journey: Two Dresses, One Story

For those just joining our story, I've been documenting a very personal performance art piece leading up to tonight's show. It began with a simple dress – a gift from my oldest daughter. Drawing on my background as a fashion designer, I decided to transform this meaningful garment through eco-printing, turning it into wearable art for tonight's opening.

But the story grew. The performance expanded to include not just her gifted dress, but also a dress of her own. Both have been transformed through the eco-printing process, capturing botanical impressions and natural dyes to create two unique wearable artworks.

Tonight, we'll both be wearing these transformed pieces – mother and daughter, artist and muse, past and present all woven together through plant-based artistry. It's performance art that spans generations and celebrates the intersection of fashion, family, and fine art.

While I won't reveal the complete transformation just yet (you'll have to see them in person tonight!), I will be sharing some glimpses of the process and hints of what awaits in the photos that follow.
